Faculty speak at psychology educators conference

English and psychology faculty from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences presented at the Society for Teaching Psychology's annual Conference on Teaching in Denver.

The Conference on Teaching is the primary conference of STP. It brings together educators of psychology for workshops, symposia and demonstrations of best practices in teaching psychology, as well as the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Dr. Maria Zafonte spoke about "Techniques for Teaching Students APA Style." Dr. Laura Chesniak-Phipps presented "Alternative to Individual Mentoring." Dr. Elizabeth Valenti's session was titled "Creatively Teaching Key 'Players' in Psychology." And Dr. Julia Langdal-Sittu's talk was called "BRAINS: Preventing the Zombification of Students by Making Neuroscience Fun and Accessible."
