Appreciation found for Milton’s ‘Paradise Lost’

Students and professors from across campus stopped by Friday during a marathon reading of John Milton’s 17th century “Paradise Lost,” an extraordinary work of English literature that tells the story of man’s fall from the Garden of Eden. Dr. Jonathan Olson, a Milton scholar, headed the reading of the 10,565 line-epic that began at 9 a.m. and ended at 6:20 p.m.

Talk about popular: Lip Sync is 49 Shades of fun

Eight teams didn’t just flap their jaws at the enormously popular Lip Sync competition. They honored boy bands, Chewbacca Mom and, yes, even Harambe. Thousands attended the event Thursday at GCU Arena with one team taking the top spot, 49 Shades of Purple.
