The only thing better than the barbecue dinner Thursday night in the Lope House at Grand Canyon University Golf Course was the cause — the first Run to Fight 2016 Superhero Awards Banquet. And then there was the effect — checks for $42,000 were given to Phoenix Children's Hospital and the Children's Cancer Network. Race director Debbie Accomazzo was joined at the podium by this year's honorary race starter, Emma Kerr, and her sister, Abby.
