GCU men’s soccer coach Petar Draksin is known for wanting his team to bring “passion and sacrifice” when it steps onto the field. There was plenty of that Friday night when the 19th-ranked Antelopes knocked off the No. 1 team in the country, Fort Lewis, with a 3-2 victory. GCU photographer Darryl Webb captured much of that passion in this slideshow.

Older Campus Building Converted to New Studios for Dance Program

GCU’s dance program, which has led a nomadic life since being resurrected two years ago, has a new home with two new studios in Building 9. Film production areas also are included in the building, which is now home to the College of Fine Arts and Production.

Friday’s men’s soccer game against No. 1-ranked Fort Lewis College “is not just another game,” said GCU coach Petar Draksin. It’s a game that creates passion and excitement and is the type of test Draksin said his team needs if it expects to contend for a national championship.

Student Union Food Service Passes First Test of School Year

The renovated Student Union has passed its first big test of the new school year. The campus dining hall, with its more modernized approach, is serving nearly twice as many meals as last year. And there are plans for even more expansion down the road.

The system provided by Rave Mobile Safety also gives users the chance at receiving GCU news and other events related messages on a regular basis.
