Family and Faith Night featured GCU Pastor Tim Griffin’s interview with Spencer, the newest acquisition of the Mercury. And while the basketball Saturday night was exciting, with the game resulting in a thrilling 87-81 come-from-behind win over San Antonio, Spencer’s calm words of faith put a cap to a fun evening.
One year into his role as the GCU’s campus pastor, Tim Griffin is taking on an even larger role. In his own words, he is “drinking from the fire hose.” In July, GCU administration promoted Griffin to vice president of student services and dean of students. He will continue in his responsibilities as campus pastor, but he also will oversee the offices of Student Life and Spiritual Life, Career Services and Event Services.

GCU Campus Pastor Tim Griffin’s new weekly Bible study got off to a promising start last night. Griffin said the Bible study was something he had high hopes for, but that he had no expectations for how many students would actually show up.
Tim Griffin begins his role as the new GCU Campus Pastor after 10 years as Chaplain for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. His goal to be “consistently available” is evident as he moves his family on to campus, making sure he is always available to GCU students.
