Career Services is hosting a job fair for all students and graduates interested in a job with Grand Canyon University. Wednesday, November 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union. A panel of current GCU graduates and various hiring managers will be on hand to answer questions and set up interviews. Lunch will be provided.

‘Lopes for Literacy Scholastic Book Fair Nov.14-22

The GCU College of Education is hosting the third annual ‘Lopes for Literacy Scholastic Book fair in the GCU Library from November 14 to 22. Meet the Cooke Health Center’s New Director

The Cooke Health and Wellness Center is located in the Student Union. Our hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday. We offer services for students and employees that include diagnosing and treating illness, immunizations, primary wound care, sports or school physicals, blood pressure screening, wellness promotion, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, referral to specialists, well-women exams and counseling referrals.

Honors Symposium Makes Call for Papers

GCU students, staff, faculty and alumni are invited to submit papers on the topic of Service for the fall honors symposium sponsored by the Eta Chi Chapter of the national honor society Delta Mu Delta. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 17. The symposium will be held at KBCOB during the week of Dec. 5.

GCU Names Tim Griffin New Dean of Students

One year into his role as the GCU’s campus pastor, Tim Griffin is taking on an even larger role. In his own words, he is “drinking from the fire hose.” In July, GCU administration promoted Griffin to vice president of student services and dean of students. He will continue in his responsibilities as campus pastor, but he also will oversee the offices of Student Life and Spiritual Life, Career Services and Event Services.
