GCU athletic training and nursing students work Wild Canyon Games

Santa’s elves in Tempe busy shopping for Canyon Cares kids

Team Murri, a group of employees in the Tempe office, are challenging other GCU staffers to choose a Halope (Lope with a halo) tag from the Christmas tree in their respective workplaces and shop for toys for less fortunate children in our community this long Thanksgiving weekend. The tags give information that is gender- and age- specific, and the toys are due back, unwrapped, to the office by Dec. 10. GCU supports NAMI walk

Students and faculty in Grand Canyon University’s College of Nursing and Health Care Professions and counseling program participated in Saturday’s walk to support the National Association on Mental Illness (NAMI) in downtown Phoenix. The student nurses were doing community volunteer work for their psychiatric nursing course, while the counseling students wanted to show their support of NAMI’s work, which includes raising money to increase awareness, research and treatment of mental illness. The 10th annual NAMI walk was held on the grounds of the Arizona State Capitol.
