The Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) recently launched AIA365.com, an online media center covering the best in Arizona high school athletics. GCU is proud to act as the presenting sponsor as AIA launches this resource. AIA is a voluntary association of public and private high schools and currently governs over 275 member schools and 305,000 student athletes. Its mission is to create an even playing field and equitable competition in interscholastic activities.
AIA365.com is scheduled to broadcast over 100 games during the 2009-2010 athletic season. The website will provide coverage either live, on-demand or in a highlight show, of most every AIA team sport championship and some individual sport championships. High school student journalists will be able to access school-specific pages that will allow them to stream their own school’s games and events as well. Each game posted on AIA365.com will be prefaced by a 15 second video about GCU.
GCU will gain great exposure at Arizona high school students through this three-year partnership as the presenting sponsor. Together, AIA and GCU have also developed an internship program that will give GCU students hands-on experience with every aspect of AIA365.com operations.
AIA365.com is home to athletic schedules, scores, standings, statistics, rosters and power rankings. Not only will the site stream video of athletic events, it will also provide a platform for other non-athletic competitions such as speech, debate and marching band. The site will also broadcast the annual Everyday Heroes Awards Gala, which recognizes outstanding students, teachers and administrators.
With the 2009-2010 fall season just getting started, be sure to visit AIA365.com for highlights from last year, as well as upcoming live events including Sabino vs. Moon Valley and McClintock vs. Sunrise Mountain in football.
