Thunder and GCU’s cheerleading squad did what they do best — bringing cheer — during an event last week at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, which was co-hosted by the hospital and Children’s Cancer Network. To commemorate September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, GCU Community Outreach Manager Sussely Morales organized a time for young patients in the oncology unit to make crafts, including gold superhero capes and wishing wands, and to have fun. GCU will host its annual Run to Fight Children’s Cancer on Saturday, March 7.
