Antelope Intros: Allison Lee, Jeff Fore and Arielle Kramer

Antelope Intros is a recurring GCU Today feature that introduces some of our new employees to the people around them in a way that is fun and informative. Employees are eligible to be featured in the month following their orientation.

ALLISON LEE

Job title:  Copywriter – Marketing Department

Job location: Colter Office Complex

What attracted you to GCU?  I was excited about the rapid growth and the opportunities at GCU and all of the wonderful things I had heard about the caliber of people who work here.

What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs. I also love seeing family and friends. In my downtime, I love to read, write and watch bad reality TV.

What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit?  I love taking staycations at the gorgeous resorts around the city.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:  I studied in England in 2006, and I fell in love with traveling. It became a dream of mine to set foot on all seven continents. I visited my best friend in Japan while she was teaching there in 2008. We actually climbed Mount Fuji at night and watched the sunrise from the summit. In 2012, a friend invited me to travel to Argentina and take a cruise to Antarctica. I set foot on Antarctica in the heart of a penguin colony on my birthday. That summer, a  friend from England married in Kenya, so my now-fiancé and I attended her wedding and enjoyed a week on safari. My fiancé took me to Australia in March. En route, we visited Hawai'i, and he proposed on my birthday.  I will now need a new passport since I’m changing my name in January, but all seven stamps are in one place.

What are you most proud of?  I was most proud of my world travels. Now I am most proud to be marrying my best friend!

JEFF FORE

Job title: Director of Student-Athlete Academic Support

Job location: Kaibab

What attracted you to GCU?  The opportunity to get back into college athletics at a Christian university, and to help support student-athletes in their pursuit and attainment of degrees.

What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? I enjoy playing golf and spending time with my four children.

What are you passionate about? My relationship with my Savior, and helping student-athletes achieve their academic goals and graduate from GCU.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:  I was the national team basketball coach for the country of Kuwait from 1997-99 and coached the team in various international tournaments, including the Gulf Championships, the Arab Championships and the Asian Championships.

What are you most proud of?  My wonderful family, and the six gold medals I won as an international basketball coach.

ARIELLE KRAMER

Job title:  Teacher Placement Specialist

Job location: Tempe

What attracted you to GCU?  I am a recent graduate of the teacher education program at GCU. I'm so excited to be working in education at the University on the operations side, helping future teachers get through the most difficult time in the program. It was a true blessing to be given this opportunity.

What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? My 2-year-old daughter, Jaelynn, is the light of my life. We love to shop, cook and play. She just recently got a puppy, Princess, and she’s excited to have a “friend."

What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit? I enjoy the lake and I love family events. I recently have taken Jaelynn to Chuck E. Cheese's, and she had the time of her life.

Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know: I'm a total science nerd. I absolutely love science, specifically anatomy. I had some wonderful professors at GCU who helped me gain a love for science.

What are you most proud of? My daughter. She has been more than an inspiration to me. I continue to strive for the best because I know that’s exactly what she deserves. She is the smartest little cookie and just so full of life.
