Need a little refresher on some basics for college success?

Grand Canyon University offers several success booster courses that are free and self-paced so that you can review the foundations of writing, math, or technology. Below is a summary of each. These success boosters can be found within the ‘Classroom’ tab in your ANGEL course. See screenshot below.

Writing Success Booster- This tutorial provides you with a review of the basics of grammar, as well as APA essentials.

Math Success Booster- A great booster for refreshing your foundational knowledge in math. It covers content relating to a wide variety of core basics in mathematics.

Technology Success Booster- A perfect set of resources for learning about how to use the MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), GCU technology (e.g., ANGEL, dropboxes, email, discussion forums, etc.), and simple technology tricks for improving your college experience. Plus, there is an orientation to Taskstream as well.

For additional help with learning about technology, checkout the weekly webinars at http://my.gcu.edu/Pages/startWeekTutorialWebinars.aspx.

My understanding is that the Boosters are there for individual paced refreshment; however, I have had some instructors assign Boosters at the beginning of the course which were due as assignments. The syllabus may contain information regarding Booster assignments; otherwise the instructor may advise during the course.
